I’ve been experimenting with fake nails for the last month or so. I’m extremely resistant to professional manicures and acrylic nails, but I am willing to admit I’m kind of terrible at painting my own nails. Fueled by grav3yardgirl's love of imPRESS press-on nails by Broadway Nails, I decided to try them out.
I am really fond of this product. This is nothing like the glue soaked mess I tried out as a kid. The fit is great and the adhesive is genius! I find these incredibly comfortable and easy to apply. Love them! The only negative for this product is that I am so far not terribly impressed with the product variety. The straight colors are wonderful, and some of the patterns are fantastic, but a great many of them are just not for me. So, when I went shopping last night, I bought another set of the french tips and decided to try another product with built-in adhesive; Fing’rs Prints.
The Fing’rs patterns are cute, though the included rhinestones do not excite me. In some ways, I like the fit of the nails better than imPRESS, but ultimately, the stiffer nail and inferior glue leaves a lot to be desired. These nails advertise the same one week wearability range as imPRESS, but after less than 24 hours, I can already tell I am going to be lucky if I make it through the weekend.
